Im trying to make a little profit out of it, buying low selling high, seems to work for a bit but its not something worthwhile to do all night though, ill probably buy another unded pig to save for when everyone is trading them and they run out of pigs to sell it at a reasonable price.

Seems the buy/sell price now hovers around 15 - 25 k, except for some wicked +ecto spammers but ok, thats just stupid.

I guess dedication doesn't matter?

Wish they would at least give us a better idea than "between 2 and 12...", i dont like having to spend like 20k on a minipet that i already have in my HoM. and by the time we find out how many we need and the awesomeness of the secret item, it'll be too late and the damn things will be in the ecto+ price range.

well, thanks to the pig craze I managed to get my favorite mini, and still have just as much money as I'd had before the pig craze started.

Mini Bone Dragon =)
Also traded a pig for a varesh.

I hope that happens, but seriously by the time its sunday that new minpet should have dropped in price quite a bit, over time i think you can get one for maybe 20 - 40 k and imo thats well worth it if you could sell your piggy for more than that.

Yeah I'm a bit disapointed, I had like 12 and gave away all but one. Now I'm kinda screwed because it requires multiple pigs and I'm too broke to buy another few.

I was nice and gave quite a few people pigs....now I know that most of them were just greedy. meaning, they didn't 'need' they just 'wanted'.

anywho, no room for the junk anyway. Thanks, but no thanks.

Me personally, I find it hilarious how they have the kids (myself a 40 something kid) about to rip each others guts out (eat them) and ask for more.

Great job at showing kids greed is the creed. well, not showing...but making.

"Ooh, neat," I said, "I still have an extra pig I can trade in!"

Then I find out it'll take more than one pig.

"That's really stupid," I said, "but at least I have 60 more fortunes to try."

60 tokens later, I still have one extra pig, and I think this is STUPID.

I sure hope the bonus pet is really cool (like a Nian), because I should definitely regret all the pigs I gave away as much as humanly possible.

I mean, what emotion is more appropriate to a New Year celebration than regret?

Haha, I made my profit off of em, got in on em earlier, made about 20-30k with a little bit of effort, definitely got harder to sell later on though..., I think I will just wait and see what the new pet is before going crazy.

this mayhem in gw is sooo funny.....untill i saw that you need 2-12 to get it....I only have 1 becaue I gave mine all away to a very "pig loving" guildie a while back...gave her 7 pigs because she loved them so much and they were useless....o how I slapped myself in the face when I realized this... guess I gotta go buy some mini pigs....WTB MINI PIGS FOR 5K EACH!

What is this? Anet reward people for being selfish?

How INNOVATIVE of them.

People who got many minipigs from last year, felt kind and generous, gave them away = No reward for you for having only 1 (or two) pig for yourself. Owned.

People who got many minipigs from last year but keep them all to themselves = Profit this year with chances to sell the minipigs at an inflated price + chances to get this year's reward.

People who didn't get the minipig at the event but were greedy and beg for a lot of free minipigs = Profit as above.

It's just a game. I know. But if this were up to you, would you create SUCH dilemma for your players? Aren't there any better ways to handle the whole thing?

Lesson learned from Anet = Don't be generous in Guild Wars. You never know what kind of slap you will get later.

2 and 12, ridicoulous. For a supposed minipet you have to dish out like somewhere between 15and 100K+ or have kept all those mini pigs from last year. And this pet will be going for like 100K + ectos probally. Guess ill be farming to buy minipigs therest of this week.

They've got a few days to fix this BS before the event starts.

Hope they're reading this....
